An Immersive Pre-Conference Experience

Before the ICSA conference begins, we invite you to arrive a little earlier and take part in Taste of Lebensgarten - a unique opportunity to step inside the daily life of our host community.

Held at Lebensgarten Ecovillage, this 24 hour immersive experience is designed for conference participants who want more than a venue visit. It offers a chance to slow down, connect, and experience intentional community not as a concept, but as a lived practice.

Through shared meals, guided tours, conversation, meditation, movement, and hands-on participation, participants will encounter the rhythms, values, and social fabric that sustain Lebensgarten. You’ll meet community members, explore how decisions are made, take part in collective practices, and contribute to a service project alongside residents.

Taste of Lebensgarten is not a workshop or a lecture. It is an invitation - to listen, to participate, and to experience what resilience looks like when it is woven into everyday life.

This immersive program takes place immediately before the International Communal Studies Association conference and is open to registered conference participants.

Spaces are limited. Early registration is strongly recommended.
